Day 1 – Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel and check in at Best Western.

Day 2 - Entebbe

Today you will depart for Murchison Falls National Park, the most beautiful protected area in Uganda,making a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda.  Have lunch at the Rhino sanctuary and then drive to Murchison Falls National Park.  If time allows, you will drive an hour deeper into the National Park to the site of Murchison Falls after which the park is named– one of Uganda most beautiful sights. If time allows, you will be able to visit the Top of the Falls for a first view of the magnificent waterfalls. Check in at Baker’s Lodge.

Baker’s Lodge is situated on the South bank of the mighty Nile River which transects Murchison Falls National Park. This intimate, safari styled lodge is set within a large private area with direct river access, large shady trees and wetland areas hosting abundant birdlife along the water’s edge. The views onto the river are vast and magnificent with islands hosting nesting egret birds, elephants bathing and pods of hippos regularly viewed.



Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast you will start the day with a game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, with chances of seeing 'The Big 5'.   Afterwards, you will do site inspection of Paraa Safari Lodge before returning to Baker’s Lodge for lunch.  In the afternoon, enjoy a Nile launch cruise to the bottom of the water falls for game viewing at close quarters.  Get off at the bottom of the falls and hike up to the top of the falls where you will be rewarded with amazing views of the Nile.  End your day with a sundowner before dinner.

Day 4: Kibale

After breakfast, check out and drive  south to Fort Portal with a packed lunch en-route. Fort portal rests in the shadow of the fabled ‘Mountains of the Moon’ and is famous for her many tea plantations. You will continue into Kibale National Park arriving at Primate Lodge Kibale in time for dinner.

Primate Lodge in Kibale is an exclusive eco-lodge situated in the heart of Kibale Forest National Park. Day 5: Kibale

Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimpanzee Habituation experience.  Return back to the lodge for a late lunch then in the evening enjoy a guided nature walk through the Bigodi wetland.

Day 6 - Kasese

After an early breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with scenic views of crater lakes, surrounding rolling hills, and banana farmlands.  Afterwards, you will proceed south alongside the majestic Rwenzori ‘Mountains of the Moon’ to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 7: Kasese

In the morning become a researcher for a day, as you learn to use telemetry to find the different lion prides who roam the savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park.  The lion is one of the most sought-after safari species, and one of the most impressive to observe. Enjoy a picnic breakfast and return to the lodge for relaxation. In the afternoon you will take a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a 33km long natural and pre-historic canal that joins Lakes Edward and Lake George. It is now the most dominant feature of Queen Elizabeth National Park and one her key tourist attractions.

 Katara Lodge is situated on the Great Rift Valley escarpment with uninterrupted views of the savannah, Lake Edward and the Verunga and Rwenzori mountain ranges.  The lodge offers eight luxurious thatched cottages on a beautiful stretch of hills overlooking the open savannah in a serene and relaxing atmosphere.  There are plenty of activities to keep you busy or simply relax at the lodge whether it be on  the veranda or one of the hammocks.



Day 8 - Ishasha

After breakfast, you will depart the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to the southern section of the park in search of the tree climbing lions with a game drive through the Ishasha side. It is a beautiful route with the Rwenzori Mountains on your right side and the green valley on the left. You will arrive  in time for lunch and some rest. Later on you will enjoy another game drive in search of the tree climbing lions, returning back in time for a beautiful sundowner at the lodge as you watch the sun go down.

Ishasha Wilderness Camp is situated within the Southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Ntungwe river, an idyllic retreat for people who truly enjoy the wilderness. Day 9 – Bwindi

You will enjoy a game drive in the wilderness while basking in the sunrise that the wild has to offer.  After your drive you will be treated to a bush breakfast set out in the heart of the park. Following breakfast, you will check out and head further south to Bwindi National Park, home of the gorillas. Upon your arrival, check in and enjoy lunch and then rest up before your evening village walk meeting the locals and engaging in the community.  Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 10 - Bwindi

Following breakfast, transfer to the national park offices where you will be allocated a gorilla family in as well as a gorilla tracking guide.  Following the pre-tracking brief by your guide, you drive to the trailhead for the start of your hike in steep and sometimes muddy conditions  with rain overhead, which can be tough and require a degree of fitness.  Granted the time taken can be quite unpredictable taking anything from 2 to 8 hrs or longer. Afterwards, you hike back to base and on to the lodge for a well-deserved shower and lunch or dinner depending on the time taken on the trek.

Day 11 - Bwindi

Today you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park and as you enter the park you may spot some wildlife such as impalas, topis, warthogs, zebras and buffaloes. In the afternoon you can go on a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the rich bird life and the hippos that are cooling off.
