Call of the Wild - 5 Day Safari

A sizzling adventure awaits you by day and by night. Indulge in romantic and intimate evenings under starry African skies as well as experience daily thrilling game viewing in some of South Africa's most spectacularly scenic regions. Enjoy personalized attention at exclusive lodges, Dulini Lodge and Ngala Tented Camp, where the accomodations are luxuriously unforgettable.

Day 1 & 2: Ngala Private Game Reserve

This safari begins and ends at OR Tambo International Airport.

On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of our team, who will help you onto your light aircraft flight to Ngala Private Game Reserve.

Situated adjacent to the world-renowned Kruger National Park, the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve comprises 53,000 hectares of pristine wilderness that is home to a plethora of wildlife. This exceptional habitat now boasts over 40 mammal species – including the Big Five — and 360 bird species. The Timbavati is also known as the birthplace of the mysterious white lion, which have since left the area but can sometimes be seen in the Kruger National Park. A museum within the reserve offers insight into the history of the Timbavati as well as constantly updated displays.

Spend two nights at the romantic and intimate Ngala Tented Camp. Accommodation is in a deluxe tent, featuring a deep bathtub, an al fresco shower under starry skies, twin hand basins, separate w.c., overhead fans, air conditioning, electric blankets for winter and wooden decks.

Adventures include twice-daily game drives in open 4X4 safari vehicles and nature walks in the reserve. Thrilling game viewing by day is complemented by romance by night, as African skies blaze into life creating ideal conditions for stargazing, moonlit dinners in sandy riverbeds and bush sundowners (weather permitting).Specialist Safaris at Ngala are available at an additional cost.

Day 3 & 4:  Sabi Sand Game Reserve

Today you will be flown by light aircraft to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve.

The Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which borders the Kruger National Park, is made up of a number of private game lodges – each one differing in atmosphere – and a visit to the area guarantees a never-to-be-forgotten experience of the African Bush. With no fences between the farms (or, for that matter, between them and the Kruger Park), animals wander across vast stretches of grazing land as they did years and years ago. With one of the richest game populations in the country, the chances of seeing the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) are excellent. The Reserve is also home to a host of other animals – but be warned: chances are that one visit to the area will probably lead to many more!

Spend two nights in a spacious stone cottage on the banks of the Mabrak River at Dulini Lodge.

Adventures include twice-daily game drives (including spot lit night drives) in open 4x4 safari vehicles with expert guides and Shangaan trackers. Guests can also enjoy interpretive guided bush walks – excellent for bird watching. Specialist Safaris are available at Dulini Lodge at an additional cost.
