Tanzania and Seychelles - 12 Nights
A classic safari experience. You will experience the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and the fabulous Serengeti with quintessential Big Five viewing - Highlights of Tanzania. There is no better place to wash the dust out of your eyes then the clear blue water of the Seychelles. Spend 5 nights at the fantastic Hotel L'Archipel on the island of Praslin.
Tarangire National Park
After your flight from Nairobi to Kilimanjaro Airport your safari starts in Kilimanjaro National Park followed by the drive to Tarangire National Park. Once inside the gates of the park you will have time for your first game drive as you make your way to your Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will enjoy a private game drive in this reserve famous for its huge numbers of elephants, baobab trees, zebras, antelope, giraffes, baboons and prodigious numbers of varied birds. You will return to the Lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

A full day of game viewing in Tarangire. Your Driver/Guide knows how to find the elusive species and, being in constant contact with other safari drivers, will learn where special sightings are happening and will often make a beeline there.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive through Tarangire as you start on your way to Ngorongoro Crater. A picnic lunch will be provided and your Driver/Guide will make several stops along the way at various places of interest, including a stop at the edge of the escarpment overlooking Lake Manyara. After arrival in Ngorongoro you will head into the crater for a game drive at the bottom. Overnight Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (B,L,D)
A wonderful full day game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2,000 foot high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. As in Tarangire, your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals.

Perched on the jagged rim of the crater, the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is a triumph of ecological and architectural fusion. The clustered boulder-built buildings of the Lodge hug the crater rim, linked by rope-lashed timber walkways that skirt the buttressed roots of ancient, liana-hung trees. After breakfast, you start on your way to Serengeti National Park. A picnic lunch will be provided. On the way you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti (where the entry gate and services are located) you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive on your way to your Lodge.

Commanding panoramic views over the Serengeti, the Serena Lodge is the ultimate fusion of traditional African architecture and world-class style. Each room features natural stone bathrooms, wildwood balconies, rope-lashed staircases, and intricately carved furniture. A circular bar looks out over the swimming pool towards the miles of savannah that lie below, the site of the million-strong wildebeest migration.
A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. As in Ngorongoro your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals.

Another full day of game drives. Your Driver/Guide, having consulted overnight with the other Driver/Guides will head out in whatever direction will bring you to animals you haven't yet seen.

One final morning game drive before leaving. You will fly to Arusha and then transfer to the Kilimanjaro Airport for you onward journey to Seychelles. (B)
Note: Depending on flight schedules you may require an overnight in Nairobi prior to departing for Seychelles. Direct flights between Nairobi and the Seychelles operate on a limited schedule, typically with early morning departure.
Upon arrrival at Mahe international Airport, our Concierge will meet you and provide assistance as needed. Transfer to Praslin via ferry or flight, please indicate which method you'd like when you contact us. Our representative will also provide you with information on hiking, activities and tours while in Seychelles.
Upon arrival in Praslin, you will be met and taken to Hotel L’Archipel where you will spend 5 nights in a Deluxe Room with breakfast and dinner included.
